I am an art historian and writer. I write regularly about art, culture, and books. My work has appeared in the Guardian, Financial Times, Independent, Art Review, Frieze, RA Magazine, Hyperallergic, The Burlington Magazine, British Journal of Photography, Elephant, Plaster, Prospect, Corridor8, and Artsy.

I recently completed my PhD at the University of York. My doctoral thesis examined friendship between female artists working in England in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. I am broadly interested in gender and sexuality in British art.

I am also a Commissioning Editor at Art UK, where I commission stories about drawings. I have experience editing, curating, copywriting, creating digital content, and managing museum communications.

I’m always open to commissions and collaborations! Get in touch.

I am represented by Kat Aitken at Lexington Literary.
