I am an art historian and writer. I am currently a Research Fellow at the Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford.

I write regularly about art, culture, and books. My work has appeared in the Guardian, Financial Times, Independent, Art Review, Art in America, ARTnews, Frieze, RA Magazine, Hyperallergic, The Art Newspaper, The Burlington Magazine, British Journal of Photography, Elephant, Plaster, Prospect, Corridor8, and Artsy.

I recently completed my PhD at the University of York. My doctoral thesis examined friendship between female artists working in England in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. I am broadly interested in gender and sexuality in British art.

I am co-founder and co-editor of Tandem Magazine, a new publication about art today, old and new.
